Bailing Out
It was more of a monochrome day today. There were showers in the morning one of which caught us unawares in the sea with rain like stair rods dropping on our heads with quite some force and the sea dancing to their rythym.
The Dounby agricultural show was being held today and it was a public holiday so no falling asleep in the library for me, but a slow meander round the policies with my iPhone camera. There is always something to see and I watched this man bailing out his rowing boat in the marina before I chatted with a lovely elderly lady who has landscaped and tends a long stretch of near vertical ground bordering the roadway opposite. I think she may have crampons on her gardening shoes.
My Edinburgh visiting Selkie popped in during the afternoon bearing banana cake and we caught up with news while keeping an eye on passing marine traffic through the window.
It’s been a quietish day but a most enjoyable one.
