Orange is the new purple

A day of continuous light rain. Huge quantities of runner beans have been picked and frozen, cucumber pickle has been made, the first grapes have been harvested, more figs have been cut and more beetroot has been lifted. This year I've grown a mixture of red, yellow, orange, purple and white beets. They all taste the same but the orange perhaps looks the best.
