The Dunkeld Lectern
A busy morning in which I made courgette chutney, did home chores, strung up onions and went food shopping with mum.
In the afternoon M and I took the 30 bus to the museum. It was very busy! We looked at the animal section and the world cultures galleries and then disappeared into the mediaeval Scottish section. Here we found many treasures including this large brass Eagle, 1515. The lectern has a contested and disputed past, it has spent much of its life in England before arriving back in Scotland in the 1980's.
We finished with refreshments at The Dovecot tapestry Centre. We just managed to avoid the heavy rain.
