Victim of the weather

A grim, grey, very wet day with a stiff breeze added to the mix. The Sweet Peas were overwhelmed and partially collapsed, but hopefully some of the flowers can be saved once it stops raining. Slugs a plenty, out and about and there were even 2 which had shinned up a deadheaded lily and were about 1 metre above the ground level. Is there no stopping them?
