First Flights

I walked to the local shop early morning, and when I returned home there were house martins flying excitedly around the house, The youngsters have fledged and are having their first flights. This continued all morning, and for the record I took some photos. The house martins nesting under the eaves are part of my summer and I’m as excited as they are to see the young ones flying. Another successful breeding season.

And from my point of view - perfect timing.
