Pilot Hill

I guess we had a huge rainstorm last night around midnight. I missed the whole thing. My bedroom is in the basement so I didn't hear all the rain and thunder. I so wish I had a rain gage. I don't have a good place to place it here but I'm a nerd and want to know how much water fell out of the sky.
The temperature is about 20 degrees cooler than it's been. It's striking. So I didn't need to leave early for a hike on Pilot Hill this morning. There were puddles of water in the rocks. All the plants looked very happy to have had a good drink. I hiked up the little canyon. I love the eroded rock walls. The current bushes had lots of fruit. You can see a few red berries in the foreground of this photo.
