Dippy needs a job

Out of the blocks Dippy scampers as fast as his wobbly legs will carry him to check on his flock. A couple of sharp barks simply to warn them all that he’s got his eye on them and not to wander off before checking the 10 lambs that H collected from the Oldenburg, these having been on Lundy island for most of their lives. Friday morning we will be taking them to Combe Martin abattoir and then back to the chef on Lundy island.
A day of mizzly rain but warm and not bad enough to stop play! Campers were overjoyed to collect some eggs from the coup for their breakfast.
Said some happy goodbyes to the two groups of cyclists who were glad about the downhill route to the Tarka trail.
Today Dippy’s sister stayed with us and some interesting sibling hierarchy is starting to form. Lunch of cheese and pickle before H and I popped out to collect some of my belongings I had stored at a good friends garage in Torrington.
We were grateful for a drink and an apple turnover before heading back to load the contents of H’s van into an empty part of a cattle shed.
Corned beef mashed potatoes and baked beans were enjoyed together with a strawberry tartlet that Alice bought for me as a thank you for giving her my old iPhone.
I tried out the first of the revamped showers and after a couple of tweaks a successful shower was completed.
Dippy and I returned to Amadeus and were out for the count in no time.
