Winter flowers

It’s winter time here and the garden is starting to wake up. The Daphne is smelling a treat. Lots of bulbs are up but it is still mostly green and grey. This geranium is in a tiny little pot outside the kitchen window and has been flowering all winter.

It was Bob’s turn for a medical appointment today and afterwards we went out to have some lunch at the pub. The local kids and grandkids are coming for dinner tomorrow to celebrate another birthday. Not mine.

One of the books I borrowed from the library this week is called Monash The soldier who shaped Australia. I thought there might be a few interesting bits in its 700+ page volume. I started reading it at lunch time and it’s so interesting and well written, a bit like a novel. I can’t wait to get back into it.
