The Great Quad

Also known as Tom Quad, it has always struck me as somewhat brutal or minimalist compared to the prettier quads of other Oxford colleges. That may well be because it was never really completed - the intended cloisters hinted at by the arches on the outside wall the footings at the edge. Nonetheless, it was good to share some knowledge and memories with the kids today, though what happened in the Mercury Fountain stays there!
