Dappled light

I love this tree which hangs over our back fence and gives the garden much needed shade. A couple of weeks ago the owner asked if her son could come round and trim it for us as it must be annoying. We replied that we loved it and didn’t need it trimmed. She was quite surprised, but pleased!

The extra is of a new gladioli that was knocked down flat by the wind and rain. Stuart managed to rescue it.

We have had blazing hot sun today and a cold strong wind. By this evening it was pleasant enough to go out for a walk with a light coat on. A bit of cleaning and washing done today, but not much else.
