ASF

The disease ASF has reached our area too. Actually already a week ago, but the warning signs have no reached the streets here too.
The sign says that you have to stay on paved roads and have your dog on the leash. This should prevent disturbance of deer and wild boars. They should not move around. Actually that's why an electric fence was built around Southern Hesse, some 115km.
ASF is not dangerous for human beings, but most boars, wild or not, die of it. Well, some tame pigs can possibly die too because whole pig farms are culled, hopefully helping to prevent the further spreading of the disease.
