Dippy jab

The Lundy sheep headed off to the abattoir at first light.
After a couple of hours tidying up the sheep pen and the surrounding area Dippy and I wandered around the vegetable garden and in the orchard we noticed that the plums were starting to drop and so collected a good bowl full, whilst there I cut off some of the parsley that had started to flower and gave it to the chickens and peacocks which devoured it with gusto.
A trip for Dippy to the veterinary clinic in Great Torrington where he melted the hearts of the receptionists and managed to tempt nearly a whole bag of treats from them! Jab given with no hassle and off we went.
A stroll across the commons provided some luscious blackberries, snaps of flowers and one of Dippy looking for something to herd.
A wander through town provided the opportunity to stock up my fruit supplies, English strawberries at £1 a punnet was a good buy together with some meringue nests and clotted cream.Alice made a huge bowl of Eton mess whilst I welcomed three new sets of campers whilst being followed by the pack of farm dogs and puppies. After the dust settled Brandon and I made the decision to move the small hen house and tidy the adjacent garden area. Time for corned beef hash and baked beans sat on the front lawn in the warm sunshine, Eton mess polished off another full day of enjoyable activity.
