Stopping to smell the flowers

An amazing day! 

Brunch complete with lattes, fun in the fitting rooms at the mall, a walk through the community garden with the dogs, and Japanese food for dinner. While we were walking through the garden, I received a call from my mother-in-law. I answered the phone, knowing she was with my daughter.  I was surprised to hear an excited gasp, followed by "MAMA! HI!" My first phone call from my baby! (This was obviously by chance, as she is 17 months old and likes to play with phones without knowing what she's doing). It was a wonderful day, and that was the cherry on top.
