Spotted lanternflies

These invasive insects are showing up here in greater numbers. It's annoying. Every time I go outside, I take a fly swatter and kill around a dozen. They congregate at a tree next to the compost. I think the tree (pictured) is a tree of heaven, which is also invasive and that they happen to love, so I might cut it down.
