taking rest

Slightly overcast this morning, very welcome!, so took myself off for a local wander and had the nature reserve to myself! Bliss!!  Nice to see lots of butterflies still about - meadow browns, gatekeepers, whites, marbled white, red admiral and a jersey tiger moth too!

And a fair few birds about too including 15 swans enjoying the water!

Bit of baking this afternoon - apple scones again! - and now to finish off some reading... think 1984 by George Orwell is feeling very relevant at the moment!!
