899 day of war
Hello, friends!
Right now, the entire country's attention is focused on the border and the fighting on Russian territory. This might be the first time that no information has made its way into the public sphere, making this event a surprise for everyone. After last year's unsuccessful counteroffensive, which was talked about worldwide, it seems our leadership realized that this was a flawed tactic, as the enemy had time to prepare many fortifications and kilometers of minefields. But now, the situation is very different, and even in the first few days, it was unclear whether this was actually happening or just another information operation.
By the way, we still don't have any official information about the events at the border, but that's not as important because we can already see positive changes. Firstly, this is another demonstration that Russia doesn't care about its people and that everything they say is a lie. The Russians, who were surprised to find that starting a major war would lead to fighting on their own territory, are now beginning to understand this.
One of the positive outcomes we've seen is that there hasn't been another massive bombardment. The reason for this is the destruction of military airfields, strategic bombers, and most importantly, a huge stockpile of missiles and bombs.
It seems that this is the only way to somehow bring negotiations closer and make their terms more reasonable, but it's still unclear what this operation will lead to.
What I like most about this is the world's reaction, as this time no one talked about "escalation," but instead supported it and responded with understanding. This is truly a huge step forward because I remember how it all started, and the country was put in an impossible situation, where the entire country was bombed daily with all kinds of weapons, and we couldn't do anything in response because it would be considered "escalation." And the longer the war goes on, the more it's becoming clear that there are no red lines, and all of Russia is held together solely by threats and lies.
The first days of such events are always significant when the element of surprise gives some advantages. Achieving this is already a big success.
But then the hard work begins, as both sides start to understand the situation and work under the new conditions. It will be very difficult on this front now, so I can only hope that everything will turn out well. Although the specific goal of this operation is still unclear, we have one overall goal—to stop the war. And I hope that what is happening now will help with that.
It has been two weeks since Nastya's surgery, and it seems she's doing much better now. Today is the last day of her strict diet, so I'm gradually starting to prepare more delicious food) There's not much work at the end of summer, and the weather is gradually getting colder, so I'm just trying to enjoy the last warm days and not worry too much about the little things. I've gotten quite tired during this time and realized that summer is ending, and I still haven't done a lot of things I wanted to do. While there's still time, I think I can spend more time on bike rides, walking through the surrounding forests, and going to the pond one more time. I hope I can do all this next week.
Thank you all for your support! Also, thanks for the help on buymeacoffee, it really helps!
