Red Arrows

We learned that the Red Arrows were going to pass Penrith En Route from Blackpool Air Show to the Edinburgh Tatoo.  They were scheduled to pass at 5:52.   This shot was taken at 5:51:43, 17 seconds early - poor time keeping.

We positioned ourselves on a hill to the north of the town.  Unfortunately this meant the shots were contra jour.  I am not good at tracking a moving subject and managed 42 shots on burst as they passed.  To give an idea of speed they were scheduled to leave Blackpool at 5:42  In case anybody is wondering they flew in two groups a 5 and a 4 so no chance of them all together.
