A day in the life

It was our turn to play our show today, The Celebration to the music of Evert Taube, that we have been doing for about three years now, not too often though, maybe a couple of performances a year. This one is during the Kalmar city festival where we played at the library, an indoor concert.

There were 46 chairs waiting for an audience. One minute before our start we had 106 so we had to organise extra chairs and be inventive in where to place them. Everything went well. We and the audience seemed very pleased, some even said so afterwards. Here's a tip to you all; if you see a concert that you like, don't hesitate to say so to the musicians, you have no idea how much that means to the people playing. As a performer, you might have a general feeling of how everything went but you don't know if you reached anyone if nobody says so.

The rest of the evening was spent roaming some of the other stages to listen to  music by other groups, it's like a kind of "In service training", if that is the right expression, to hear and see how other people handle their moment on stage.
Just came home fairly late and feel pretty knackered. I wish you a happy Sunday, whatever you're doing.
