Speedy Saturday Swim

Speedy swim late afternoon. Just two of us lane swimming in the middle of the pool for the last 20 mins as all the children got out after splash session.

On returning home I hung some laundry and packed a bag. The flat was a balmy 25C and 52% humidity. I called dad and asked if I could drive down this evening instead of tomorrow so I could get a cooler night’s sleep.

What should have been a quick journey was delayed with three sets of roadworks and restricted speed limit on the M25. Enjoyed the air con in my car along the way.

Dad gave me the update on today’s Olympics. The Velodrome cycling sounds bonkers. I’ve been following World Aquatics on Instagram and showed Dad some videos of the artistic swimmers.
