Trekirke

This small wooden church was constructed in 1784, which is old for a building in the north of Norway. It retains a lot of features from earlier churches on this site which date from the 15th century. Among the extras is a plaque which shows the church was used as a polling station in the first Norwegian elections in 1814 when the country regained its independance from Denmark after a union that had lasted for over 400 years.
