You've

been here before, it is Crummock Water.  I was there early with flask of coffee to take a selection of photos as the light changed.  Generally it was hazy but warm and pleasant.  It was still pleasant as groups of wild swimmers descended.  Still they told me they had their own tea/coffee, so I was OK.  I have never seen so many people in the lake as there was today.  Dogs whining as their mistresses swam away from them; children giggling and splashing; a lone fisherman near the boathouse and kayakers.  All in all in spite of all the people it still was quiet and you could take in the view without 'noise pollution!'  Red Pike is in the distance and Rannerdale Knottts to the left.
