Making some progress - finally

This is the General Store for the Sn3 layout.  I think it is the best kit I have put together.  Excellent directions, pictures, and lots of suggestions which I can quickly see saved my bacon.  Yesterday I got all the trim on and today I started the shake roof.  I am using the roofing strips from Wild West - they come in colors and ready to put on.  There were sheets of unpainted shakes in the kit but I like how these look.

So I got one half of the main roof done.  I will go ahead on the other side which is out of sight.  There is a porch in front that has been tricky to get done but patients and directions it came out fine.  It gets shakes as well.  Painting the support poles was not easy.  There is a small addition in the rear which also gets shakes.  And there is a roof on either side of the building gets metal roofing.  I have them primed and ready to weather when and they will be the last thing to go on, other than the signs and a bag of details to paint.  I also bought some 3D printed figures from miniprints.ca that need painting.  Maybe the most fun - but weathering is yet to come..

The extra shows the rear of the builiding and several additions that used different materials.  Like the real thing is in Alladdin Wyoming.  The other extra is a photo of the existing building.
