In anticipation

A busy morning at church with a guest preacher: the Rev Professor Alison Jack. She is the Principal at New College which is where ministers are trained. She used to attend our congregation when she was a student there and I remember her from then. It was an interesting sermon drawing on religious poetry.

The sunny warm ( but not hot) day continued for a while but the skies clouded over for a while. Early evening I went to check over the church to confirm all doors were locked and taps were not running etc - our manager is on a well-deserved holiday. The Lower hall is set out for the fringe show being held there. It was all silent in anticipation.
