The Big Yellow Tambourine Man Band
Had a great evening watching the above band and their tribute to Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell.
The show is the brainchild of Devon-based singer-songwriter Isabelle Nutton and Cape Town guitarist and singer Bob Thomson, conceived after discovering a shared fascination with Mitchell’s and Dylan’s imagery, poetry and artistry. There followed a dive into- and a subsequent obsession with two parallel worlds of genius: phrasings, tunings and arrangements; dulcimers, Wurlitzers and harmonicas; histories, fantasies and rivalries; to create a show that pays utmost respect to the craft of their musical idols.
It was in the faded splendour of Lupton House, near Brixham, outside in the Italianate gardens.
I can only describe it as marvellous. They are on Facebook
