Bandstand

Built for the highly successful 1911 Scottish International Exhibition of Music, Culture and Industry held at Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow which received 9.5 million visitors the proceeds of which funded a chair of Scottish History and Literature at the University of Glasgow.

The bandstand was subsequently purchased for the new Alexander Hamilton Public Park in Stonehouse, opened in May 1925. The B listed Bandstand was completely restored in 2023.
