L'al Ratty

L'al Ratty (Little Railway) is a narrow gauge 7 mile mining railway through the Eskdale valley. Built in 1873 to transport Iron Ore, now it transports tourists and is an excellent day out.  Most of our visitors get to experience L'al Ratty some more than once!
Main blip, is Whillan Beck,  which hauled our return trip.
Extra River Mite , which powered our outward trip.
They have very interesting histories if you like that sort of thing.
