An early start taking the car to get its annual service and MOT and then hanging around at home waiting for the garage to call which it did eventually at 4pm.

The late afternoon was measurably better than the dreich morning and I went out for a short run, my usual route around Pollok Park stopping at the bridge for a breather and to get a blip. I had wondered if all my walking would carry over to running. It did not, although I was aware that my breathing was very controlled and far less obvious than the huffing and puffing of the joggers who overtook me.
