Dry (but not quite enough)
The bell tent is pretty awesome all round except in the department of quick drying in the absence of a good breeze. Lovely sunny morning for packing away, after we slept about 10 (!) hours, but alas not windy.
Dropped the very obliging S in Pitlochry so that I could 'rescue' the family from Aviemore after a campervan mishap. Definite low point was N losing the Bug at the same time as I arrived. Luckily the Bug sought help from bystanders who called the hotel, who managed to call N and they were reunited (the Bug does not yet have a phone or know our numbers = not good). Things like this always drag up a bit of PTSD in me owing to the fact I got very seriously lost in the countryside when I was about the same age (after having stormed off in an epic huff). There was no huff in this instance. It was miscommunication, lack of familiarity, and the general disorientation that can come with walking through trees. That did not stop me screaming for my son at the very top of my lungs, again and again, and feeling totally helpless, having no information about what was happening. The Bug was upset but OK. I was pretty raging, but mostly kept it inside knowing that shit does indeed happen.
