Evening sky

Early start this morning to get to the hospital for my follow-up eye appointment. Bus came on time and was quiet, but at that time I had to pay.  I thought I could use the 3 tickets left on my M Card, but they had expired!  I got off a couple of stops early so that I could take a leisurely walk to the infirmary.  It was just the right temperature for walking - good job as there is a fair hill to go.up. Had time for a coffee in the modern reception area then wandered down to ENT & Eyes. Pressures, photos and scans all done efficiently and then I saw the consultant who was pleased with the results of the operation. Out of interest I queried the dilated pupil which has broken through the iris - apparently it can happen when the jelly is being removed.  It won't alter, but doesn't bother me - I guess it could be used as an identification aid....haha! Hot outside when I came out so I walked to a bus stop further away than intended as it had a shelter. Not long to wait and home by 1:30.  One or two jobs done then choir practice early evening. Came home to this interesting sky.  Supposed to be some Perseid showers tonight and maybe some Northern Lights - my aurora app is quite active! Hopefully a dry day tomorrow.
