So Soon?

I checked a few times for the Perseid meteor shower last night but was trying to balance the risk of the kittens sneaking out of the window, then I got an red aurora alert, so checked, and yes, there was the Aurora Borealis. Only after I'd taken the photo could I see some faint lights in the sky, it wasn't as extreme as the last time. The Perseus constellation is in the upper right hand of the photo and this is looking east. I got anothert alert earlier tonight but it was more greens the purples.

I'm surprised that's the second time this year, although I have had red alerts before, maybe I now know how to detect them. Also surprised I'd taken this blip before I'd posted last night's blip, so it's been a whole day of not having to find a blip, result!
