Living my dream

By Mima

Monty and the Moon

Thank you so much for your recent comments, stars and hearts. Responses from me are a bit tardy, but are in the pipeline.

News from hospital is that F is 'fractionally better' today, which is a relief. I think she'll be there are wee while yet. Their son arrived today, so the pressure will have been lifted from FFL's broad shoulders a little. That is also a relief.

Accordingly I have been surplus to requirements and I have spent the day getting on with Mima's life, which has felt quite a delightful novelty.

I weeded and tidied in K's garden this morning. Spring is revealing itself a little more each time I go there: more blossoms and blooms, more bulbs' leaves pushing upwards, more weeds.

Back home I very carefully dug a hole and planted the Monty's Surprise apple tree.

The surprise was that when I came to take a photo to preserve the moment for posterity, it was pointing directly at the moon. This must surely be some kind of auspicious observation? A sign of simply enormous crops to come perhaps? I hope so.

Bean came to check the quality of work several times. Such diligence...

Back at K's this morning, I had my regular love-in with the forlorn Buddha dog, and then Myah the cat arrived looking for attention too.

She and Bean have a long-standing friendship. Well, when I say friendship, when Myah says 'jump' Bean leaps. The extra was taken just before the 'j' word was spoken. You can see Bean was ready for the inevitable. A second later she had leapt backwards to the other side of the drive.

What japes.
