wildflower nest
Tonight is the last Guide meeting of the year, and they traditionally have it at our place. I am on hot-chocolate duty and emergency fire management. Luckily no need of the latter so far, and the milk didn't boil over.
One of their activities was to build a nest of wild flowers for the special bird in our kestrel nesting box (no kestrel unfortunately so it's occupied by Henry, our metal bird statue!). Only one or two flowers of each, of course, and only those that we have loads of. Then they have to name them - with a little help from the leader.
They all go away happy and ready for the summer break.
Well done Guide Leaders!
