The Woodwards

One of the memorials to the pioneers of ship building on Brisbane Water. This one commemorates the Woodward family. A quick google reveals that one of the Woodwards was a convict. Another built and operated the Favorite, which was built in 1849 and wrecked off Cape Howe in 1852, with the loss of eight men and a cargo of 2000oz of gold dust.
