Phare de l'ile Vierge
We packed up in a bit of drizzle. We stopped off at the Port de l'Aber Wrac'h. I'd imagine it buzzing on a brighter day. I see now that we totally missed our opportunity to get out to this lighthouse. Visits are tide dependent and didn't get my act together unfortunately.
The top half of the picture shows the view of the lighthouse (teent bit at the bottom, the rest in the mist) when we arrived early afternoon. We went for a walk out to I'ile W'rach where there was an art exhibition in the lighthouse. Two very interesting displays, one was line drawing of 'maps' of the area, the other detailed drawings of the tidal rocks. More detail here. Worth the click!
Bu the time we were finished our walk and our galette the sun came out.
A short easy drive brought us to our next destination, a very picturesque Le Conquet.
The beach is long and perfect and I just had a float to test the water. Positively warm.
