Happy Birthday Amy!!!
Today is my baby girls 11th birthday. We took her and the tribe this evening to see Monsters University and it was brilliant.
11 years ago today we were also having some seriously hot weather, or maybe it just felt that way to the beastly pregnant me. Anyway I had an induction booked, and we travelled to hospital in our little Ford Fiesta. The passenger window wouldn't open, which had made for a very crabby sticky summer for me. The labour was only 4 hours long, and Amy was my tiniest baby at only 6lb 1oz, but oh my god it was definitely the most painful. I had the drip which they only noticed was set way too high AFTER I'd had her, which made for a "fun" labour where I couldn't hardly catch a breath between contractions. Mr F didn't get a chance to sit down, he was bent over, gripped to my face by his collar, for the whole time, and the only "nice" thing I recall I said was growled in a sort of exorcist voice, "HE'S GOING F*#$ING NOWHERE!!" when they politely said he needed to move his car or it would be towed.....
Anyway our little madam was born safely and she stole her dads heart from the start. After our previous boy Nathan who was 9lb 5oz, Amy Shannon seemed practically premature size, and once we noticed her little "Chicken legs" that even made her tiny socks look baggy, her lifelong nickname was set. Our little chicken legs doesn't do too badly for herself though, those funny little legs carry her through all her sporting achievements, and she never stops. So happy birthday Amy-girl, we love you our little house comedian and sport fanatic xxx xxxxx xxx
