Corn Bunting - A Lifer
Wandered down to Freiston Shore this morning. I didn't expect to see a lot to be honest. It's those days that are sometimes the best.
We decided to wander down to the meadow, rather than the usual route around the lagoon. It turned out to be a good idea as this Corn Bunting sat singing on a stalk for ages. This is a life tick for me, I've never seen one before, and to get a decent photo from distance a bonus!
The year ticks kept on coming, Common Sandpiper, Common Tern, Skylark, Meadow Pipit, it was birding heaven!
Just goes to prove there isn't a wrong time of year and a wrong time of day to go out birding, despite what the books may say!
It's still boiling ...
