Before the rain arrived

There was much noise and activity in the neighbourhood this morning in advance of the forecast rain. Sounds of grass mowing, hedge trimming, and general gardening activity brought out quite a few folks  in warm and pleasant conditions. I managed to do my bit including lifting the onion crop which will have to dry out in the greenhouse until dry settled weather arrives ( some chance of that happening! ).
Rain arrived on cue after lunch mostly light, but with some annoyingly random heavy bursts which deferred my walk on 2 occasions. Rose second flowering now well underway and helps to create an easy blip.
