Tuesday: Red Sky and a Caterpillar

Very heavy rain arrived just before 3pm, I’m glad we didn’t go to the Anglesey Show because it would have been total mayhem trying to get off the showground and leaving the “car park” field …

We’d done a quick shop at Lidl and Home Bargains early morning , then MrD had continued changing the base of the rainwater tank next to the log store, originally on an old pallet which had rotted … now on a concrete paving slab.

Just before lunch I’d gone to check on MrD and we were looking at the Bardsey apple tree when I noticed today’s caterpillar - we’ve seen many different caterpillars over the years but this one is rather unusual, I hope I’ve identified it correctly as that of the Vapourer Moth - https://butterfly-conservation.org/moths/vapourer - I’m always amazed at the variety of wildlife sharing our garden with us :-))

There was a beautiful sky when I woke up this morning - SEE EXTRA
