How was it for you?

There was one of these on each table in a cafe I visited today. They are about 6 inches across, and in various colours. I understand how valuable feedback is in any service environment, but then I started thinking about the nature of the technologies in use, and how this probably opens a web page which wants to set cookies on my device and do I really want to give them that opportunity. And then - because I had a bit of time on my hands - I started thinking about how using this as the feedback loop might shape the nature of their respondent pool. I'll probably end up going down a rabbit hole, looking for research in this area.
