Stockton

We were in Stockton-on-Tees.
It's an interesting place but it shows signs of poverty. Many poorly dressed overweight people, people of all ages with walking aids, and many pawn shops as well as, oddly, several jewellers with window displays of rings and watches that people can only dream about. In the estate agents' windows there are bargains to be had. 
This is Hambletonian Yard. There are several of these alleyways leading back from the town square. I thought the man on his smartphone made for an interesting subject.
