Delightful Daughter-in-Law

Today I spent some precious time with my lovely DIL. We went for a walk at Trent Park - it was hot but not as hot as yesterday thankfully.
We then went out to lunch together. So lovely to chat and spend time with her.
After I dropped her home I went to see another friend - our neighbour who we lived opposite for many years when we were here in Enfield. We spent many happy times together when all our children were young. She had four and with my three, we made a good crowd! Lovely to catch up with her.
I then drove back to our friend’s house where we were staying and then over to their daughter’s new flat for a meal.
Later in the evening we decamped to another friend’s house to stay for the rest of our time here (our first hosts are off on holiday tomorrow).
So great to catch up with more friends and spend time together. The fact that they are my lovely DIL’s parents makes it even more special:)
