227/366   Phil ! In 1984 the Melplash Agricultural Society commissioned local engineers DH Townsend to build a 70 foot bridge to span the river that ran alongside the show site, this opened up fields to allow for parking and gave the show room to expand. Phil was one of the engineers who built the bridge spending well over 450 hours on the project and over the years worked on erecting it. As its now the 40th anniversary he came to the show ground to inspect how his handywork is holding up before it being installed tomorrow (very well bridge not needed any welding or repairs since he built it)  #mas #melplashshow #dhtownsend
