NESS of BRODGAR

The archeology digs at the Ness of Brodgar are closing this week for the foreseeable future.
So, it being another brilliant day, we paid our last visit to the site.  We met several folk we knew who were doing the same.
Our friend Jeanne was there, behind the scenes/behind the ropes, painting the works and the workers.  She has been spending the July/August of recent years being resident artist or volunteering in the small finds shed or the fundraising shop. 
Jeanne is the busiest person I know, so I am confident she will easily fill the space in her calendar after the dig closes.
