WideWednesday...Man-made
I've blipped the local lake a few times now, as its usually where I walk with B and G on Wednesdays, this week being no exception.
'Manvers Lake was created in the 1990's as part of the remediation works following the closure of the Wath Main & Manvers Main colliery complex and associated railway yards.'
It is well used for many boating activities, as well as walks, events and wildlife. We are lucky to have it so close. We tried another venue for coffee, a small bar, recently providing lunches, teas and coffees. Very nice, but I do prefer my cup of tea, served in a teapot, and not hot water in a cup with a teabag in the saucer!. We left a review! Arrived home to find some trellis I ordered to go on top of the 5ft fence, and to support some jasmine and a passionflower, had been delivered. Fence paint is due this afternoon, so I'll be getting on with painting it this weekend. Lovely neighbour A, has offered to fit it...again, all down to watering his veggies!!
