North West coast
Today we went on a trip up to the North West coast of Cyprus. Firstly we went to Polis and had a wander round, did some shopping, allowing Emma to spend some of her holiday money. We stopped at a cafe for refreshments and then we moved on up to The Baths of Aphrodite. This had improved somewhat since we were last there and is at he end of a path surrounded by lovely fragrant shrubs and trees with nature trails further on. The big, black eel was still there though, I wouldn't fancy bathing there!
We then went down towards Latchi and stopped at a seafront fish restaurant. Our table was about 15 feet from the water. The food was excellent and very good value with lots of very fresh seafood on offer.
We then moved on round the north west coast towards the border to North Cyprus, we turned back after we saw the point that is visible from the Greek side but my mobile still messaged me to say welcome to Turkey!
An eventful journey back with some more car issues that I won't go in to (with the replacement car). Back to the villa for a much needed swim in the pool and then down to Pissouri village to eat. Off to bed now its been a long day.
