End of the world
The most easterly point of mainland Britain and it’s hidden behind an industrial estate on top of the sea defences that have laughingly been called the seafront path. Last time I was here (30 years ago) we were told to get off our bikes as cycling was prohibited. We ignored that bit of advice. Now it is the North Sea Cycleway……!
Lowestoft looks quite sad, loads of empty shops and no sign that any levelling up money has been put into the town.
Down at the Ness the markers for the names of distant cities around the compass have been chiselled off and no doubt sold to an unscrupulous metal dealer for a couple of quid to buy a wrap or a few cans of lager.
