Summer's last hoorah
... which isn't to say we won't have lots more warm, sunny days. And I'm looking forward to a still-colourful early autumn. But the bluey-lilac sweet peas are over, and these red and white ones are beginning to go to seed. This will surely be the last flowering of my yellow Charlotte rose, while this pink one we inherited continues to bloom prettily.
This morning was my six-monthly dental check-up, scale and polish. Having them this frequently means they're not too severe, despite the dentist's thorough approach. She and her assistant are a great team and make everything as comfortable as possible. Can't ask for more!
Don't know where the day's gone. Did pop to our neighbours with apples and plums, as we've more than we can deal with at the moment, despite freezing lots. Not complaining, and it was fruit crumble and custard for pudding again today!!
