But there are a few bits I would like to add to my collection. Aperol. Drambuie. Southern Comfort. Amaretto. A decent Irish whiskey. Ouzo. Some proper dry sherry. Cherry brandy. Any other recommendations?

Fact is I’m a collector of drinks rather than a drinker. But they mostly have long shelf lives and you don’t need to buy booze at Christmas when you are well stocked. And you can make a lot of cocktails too …but the real appeal is aesthetic. This lot will cheer you up at any time of year but particularly in the deep midwinter. Just looking at it is a joy …

Continued working on the AlCATraz project today but I was really tired so not firing on all cylinders. Did finish Enlightenment. Sumptuous book.
