Or Nandinia domestica. A compact little firecracker of a plant about 15 inches tall. It seems to flourish on the slope border.
Housework (cleaning bedrooms) and cake making in the morning then weeding the slope borders and trying to shape pittosporum into squares to sit alongside a bench. Not sure if the topiary will be successful as the shrubs want to be round, not square. The dyker arrived in the early evening to complete the wall rebuild which requires just one little section outside the kitchen window. He is very creative and spends time finding just the right stones for best effect. We watch progress with great interest.
