Quebec House

Originally a Tudor building, Quebec House is situated on the main road in Westerham and was the home of General James Wolfe.  Wolfe led the English troops to victory in the Battle of Quebec in what is now Canada where he was killed.  He joined the army at 14 and died when he was 32. The house is full of interesting relics belonging to the general and is very homely with low ceilings and 17th C wood panelling.

I am having a really good time staying with friends who are spoiling me and it is fun getting to know Kent which is very different to my part of the country!
